The Church and the Contemporary World

Lecture Description

In his lecture, Rev. Michael Baxter, C.S.C., Assistant Professor of Theology at the University of Notre Dame, raises questions such as: What is distinctive about Christian community? How are we to be communities of Christian disciples in this post-Christian age? What is the relationship between the Church and secular society in general? Between the Church and U.S. society in particular? Should Catholics find themselves at odds with being Americans? This lecture was originally released on January 26, 2002 as part of a STEP videoconference series.
